Biography
Abraham Mayfield Jr. was born in 1720 in Colonial North Carolina to Abraham Mayfield Sr. and Elizabeth Valentine Bell. [1] He married Mary Ann White on June 11, 1798 in Warren County, NC. They had 15 children.
He passed away on April of 1809 in Warren County, NC around age 88.
Abraham Mayfield Jr. left a will in Warren Co. on 5 May 1808. It was proven at May court 1809. He named his wife Polly, Daughters Mary Jackson, Catherine Dye, Agnes White and children of Nancy Mayfield. Sons named in the will were Thomas, John and Edmond. He also left bequests to children of daughters Martha Tate, Elizabeth Smith and Jane Daniel. He mentions land known as the "old place of Martin Dye". Abraham's estate passed probate in 1809.[2]
