This is where My brick wall starts I've got John's marriage in Haddington 1841 census in Linlithgow born in Scotland BUT not in county aged 55 and his son George's death in 1861 when it states he was dec,. Looked at al the death certificates from 1841-1861 on scotlandspeople nothing stands out a couple of paupers, also tried looking for his wife Margaret Donaldson , He was in the Berwick militia when he married in 1807 not sure if their are any records that might help if parents were mentioned when he signed up any help would be much appreciated
