Right birthdate, but this doesn't make sense. Rodger was murdered in 1986. Perhaps someone re-used his identity?

Rodger got his Social Security number in Montana. He lived with Hollis and Lois in Great Falls, Montana when they moved to the US from Alberta, Canada, and was beloved by Lois' husband Ron. Rodger is mentioned in Ron's obituary.

A 34-year-old taxi driver was shot to death apparently during a robbery... police said. The driver, Roger McBee, 34, of Phoenix, worked for the Ace Taxi and Cab Co. of Phoenix, said Sgt. Brad Thiss, a police spokesman. He was shot in the head, police said.

Thomas Ekelund, president of Ace, described McBee as a "safe and courteous driver." "I am totally outraged," Ekelund said. "He was a reliable and conscientious driver. We are all shocked and upset."

Witnesses told police they saw a man run from the cab after it crashed through a wooden fence and struck the rear of a liquor store in the 700 block of East Roeser Road after 5 a.m. Police recovered a gun, a bloodstained shirt and several other items after searching the South Mountain High School campus near the shooting site, Thiss said. Detectives believe robbery was the motive, but police have not determined whether anything was stolen. Ekelund said McBee had worked for Ace for 1 xh years.
