I have possession of a family Bible and papers of Samuel and some of his sons. Supposedly, there is a family tree that was done by a genealogist that my mother has filed away somewhere.

There is another listing but is nearly illegible. I am in the process of imaging all the documents that I have. Those documents are mostly concerning Calvin McBee but I also have some of Samuel Sr., John, William and others. I also have a paper certifies Samuel McBee as a minister of the Gospel signed by a Isaac Barton and William Williams.

Calvin is said to have married Emaline McBee. Children were Sarah, b. 1847, Orlena, b. 1850, James A. b. 1854, and William C. b. 1857.

Both 1850 and 1860, living next door to Calvin is: Eli McBee. In 1850 Eli was age 26, wife Almeady 21 and Nancy J. age 1 In 1860, Eli was listed as age 26 but probably should have been 36. Almeda was 31. Nancy J. 11, Andrew J. 8, Moriah 5 and Tennessee age 2.

I think it's possible that Eli could have been another son of Samuel. There were three males in both 1830 and 1840 that could have been Calvin, James & Eli.

Calvin and Evaline McBee are my great, great, great-grandparents. Almost everything written in the largest bible is already out on the internet. The second bible and dictionary has about the same info. Since the books cannot be scanned by flatbed, I'm trying to photo them but they show up pretty illegible. Am contacting other resources to see about hand scanning them. The loose papers are what will probably be more interesting to others. I will post what I can. They mostly concern Calvin but there are quite a few about Samuel McBee and others. Mostly deeds, tax receipts, personal letters and etc...
