Biography

Charlotta was born in 1803. She was the daughter of Joseph McBride and Elizabeth Brammer. In about 1823 she married George Washington Burgess. They had approx. 11 children (per census records), 7 daughters and 4 sons.

George and Charlotte remained in Putnam, TN throughout their lives. It was here she passed away in 1880. She is buried at the West Cemetery alongside her husband.
