Biography

John Bernard was the oldest of seven children born to Patrick and Johanna Linehan McCormick.[1] He was likely born on the family farm in Peel Township, Wellington County, Ontario. His birth is calculated from the notation on his gravestone, which lists his age at death as nine months. He is buried with his father and two other infant brothers in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Macton, Ontario.[2]
