Biography

Jas F Mccall was enumerated at Cashiers Valley Post Office, Subdivision No, 66, Cashiers Valley Township No. 8, Jackson County, North Carolina for the June 28, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1834-1835 in North Carolina and a farmer. He had $200 in value of real estate and $148 in value of personal assets as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Margret C Mccall, female Rebecca E Mccall, female Julia A Mccall, female Dorcus T J Mccall and male Robert H Mccall.^[1]

James Mccall was listed as the father of Dorcas Telitha Jane Tinsley who died August 31, 1930 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina. The mother was listed as Margaret Jackson and the husband W.H. Tinsley.^[2]

James R. Mccall was listed as the father of Jacob N. Mccall who died November 17, 1945 in Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. The mother was listed as Margaret Jackson and the wife Annie Nelson Mccall.^[3]

James Franklin McCall is buried at Glazener Cemetery in Transylvania County, North Carolina.^[4]
