About February 1899, Bill bought and operated a sawmill in Eagle, NY (Wyoming County Times 9 March 1899), having previously been farming in Pike. The sawmill presumably processing lumber from the local maple trees. The sawmill was on McCall Road,adjacent to the railroad station. The namesake of McCall Road may have been Bill McCall.
In 1920 and 1930, Bill was running a dairy farm in Bliss/Eagle, NY.
