Biography
The last Will and Testament of Matthew McCall was written and dated on January 10, 1778. In his will, Matthew mentions his son Robert, three daughters all unnamed, and that his wife is pregnant. The will was proved and registered in the York County Court on March 15, 1781. His home is identified as Hill Plantation and there is mention of the ferry which was known at the time as McCall's Ferry.
