Biography

Van Fidilia Mccall was born May 7, 1895 in Transvlvania County, [North Carolina] to father Fidella Mccall and mother Roxie Mccall.[1]

Phidilla V Mccall was enumerated as son of the head of the household in Gloucester Township, Transylvania County, North Carolina for the June 7, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as born May 1893 in North Carolina and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Phidilla S Mccall, wife Rosiean M Mccall, daughter Lilly S Mccall, son William S Mccall, daughter Dora Ann Mccall, father (father-in-law) William C Dunn and mother (mother-in-law) Anna J Dunn.[2]

Phedilla V Mccall was enumerated as stepson of the head of household at Gloucester, Transylvania County, North Carolina for the April 30, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1894 in North Carolina and single. He was a laborer (home farm) as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head James M Mccall, wife Roxie A Mccall, son George C Mccall, daughter Minnie Mccall, son Wilkie Mccall, son James C Mccall, son Harlow Mccall, stepdaughter Dorah Mccall and stepdaughter Snora Mccall.[3]

Van McCall wed Idina Owen June 14, 1915 in Transylvania County, North Carolina.[4]

Van Fidilia Mccall died February 3, 1947 in Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. His address was Route 10, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He was a warehouse man and married. His wife was listed as Iduma Owens Mccall.[1]

Phidila Van McCall is buried at Shoal Creek Cemetery in Transylvania County, North Carolina.[5]
