John was born in 1758. John is the child of James McCall. He and his brother David McCall was living in York, South Carolina prior to the revolution. John joined the Revolutionary forces under Col. William Hill's Regiment of State Troops, a unit under General Thomas Sumpter South Carolina forces.[1] At the April 1790 York County Court, John McCall made a bargain with Col. William Hill upon the property of a house in Yorkville being the property of David McCall.[2]
John passed away in 1807. [3]
