DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joshua by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joshua:

McCall-3846 and McCall-838 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate

Sorry if this is redundant, am new to this thread but am fascinated with these McCalls -- still looking to either verify or eliminate where my McCalls fit in, so have looked at this line. If you are looking for a source, surely you have found "Memories of My Ancestors" by Hardy Bertram, since this line is so specific. He lists Marion Dundas m. to William of Boghons (1650-1710), son of John McCall, son of Patrick McCall Laird of Guffockland who d. 1610. All 3 sons of John are buried in Sanguhar Churchyard, SCT. The full text is available on line.

Has anyone taken a YDNA test yet?

I am currently asking for a source for Joshua's Father being John McCall. A source beyond Ancestry.com from what I have research there are no sources for that... but am trying to give benefit of doubt here.
Will everyone stop creating New profiles after we merge them? We are merging these for a reason... Each and every person on Wikitree should only have one Profile Thank you!
McCall-841 and McCall-838 appear to represent the same person because: Same data

Now merging into lowest profile number.

Difference in dates to be noted in the biography until a source can be added.

McCall-869 and McCall-838 appear to represent the same person because: The Highest number profile needs to go Into the Lowest number Profile These profiles are the same person. Then we can merge McCall-841 into McCall-838 from what I read In merging guidelines that is how this should be done.
McCall-841 and McCall-869 are not ready to be merged because: Only reason I am Matching this one is because McCall-869 needs to go into McCall-838 then we can merge McCall-841 into McCall 838 is how it should be done from what I have read so it does not create and extra loop when people are searching.
The reason this was set as Match instead of merge was simple because I have seen No Sources for a Mother and Father for Joshua McCall... I have seen a marriage for For Joshua McCall and Julianna Truby

I did not want this to be an issue So I tried to leave it alone..... but since we are Having to merge this will be the main issue I see going forward... I would Love to see sources to prove me wrong here That would make me more happy then no sources..

I am going to go ahead and undo last edit there is no source that I have seen that verifies His Mother and Father He also does not have a brother Named Joshua McCall... I am going to need to see a little more then an ancestry Tree to add that and this is going to be the Issue when we Merge 869-841 Just letting everyone Know ahead of time.
McCall-841 and McCall-838 are not ready to be merged because: I think this is one and the same person
