Eugene was born in 1848. Eugene McCarthy .
He married Annie Hester McKenzie on June 13, 1874 at St Patrick's Church, Otago New Zealand The Marriage Notice in The Age newspaper, Melbourne, Australia states Eugene as the 4th son of Mr. Eugene McCarthy, Cork, Ireland.
Eugene and Annie Hester (McKenzie) McCarthy had ten children.
Eugene passed away in New Zealand in 1912 aged 64 years.
