Biography
Daniel McCarthy was born in Ireland.
Daniel was born in the early 19th Century in Ireland. His daughter Bridget emigrated to the United States around 1850 when she was six years old, so he may have emigrated there too if he was still living. Bridget had a brother John who was still living when she died in 1904.[1] Bridget was residing in Baltimore, Maryland from at least to 1870 until her death, so Daniel may have lived there too.[2] Bridget's son John married in New York City and resided there, so New York City is another possibility.[3] Daniel is named as Bridget's father because of a census record that places a McCarthy family in New York City with a daughter Bridget and son John, however the ages don't completely fit.[4]
