This would be an autobiography as I will write it about myself. I will tell you I was born in a University town which was located in the middle of corn and soybean fields. My father was an insurance man and my mother a teachers aid. It was a normal childhood and I was brought up in the same house all of my childhood. Also my first years of college were spent there as well. But I skipped an important formative event in my life which shook me up more than anything else, and this was my Father's death in 1985. I was 18 at the time and the death was so traumatic I had to search my heart for answers. This led me to call out to God and thankfully He answered me.
So, in 1985 I started a new life with God the Father and His son the Lord Jesus Christ and His blessed Holy Spirit. I went out and bought a bible and read it hours and hours and hours a day. Three years later I applied to Wheaton College, a Christian School which had a conservatory of music. I studied Voice Performance for 4 years. There I met my wife Erin McCartney and we got married in 1992.
For the next three years I got a delivery Job delivering Tropical fish and animals from a place called Apet up near the Chicago Airport. I lived with my wife in Glendale Hights.
In 1995 God commanded me that I was to take myself and my whole family and move to Anacortes, Washington. We left that fall and Got a house in Anacortes. Not finding work within the first two weeks I decided to do a Daniel fast and pray until God found me a job. I applied to an add in the newspaper and got a job with Con-Way Western Express as a dock/driver trainee.
Less than a year later my wife and I moved to Everett, Washington and soon we had two children. Nathan was born in the spring of 1998 and in the year 2000 in the fall we had Andrew.
Between the years 1999 and 2005 I worked as a Personnel Supervisor for Con-Way Western Express. This was an HR management position. However things changed for me when Erin my wife was looking for a new career and Con-Way was looking to fill my position with another person. I was offered full seniority pay to stay on at Con-Way Freight as a Truck Driver and I have been a Truck driver ever since.
Things changed for me in the spring of 2013 at Con-Way Freight. Con-Way Freight decided to install new safety equipment in all of the Tractor Trailers. These recorded inside and outside audio and video every time there was a possible accident causing event. I was not satisfied with the equipment as I felt it was dehumanizing. Nevertheless I did not want to quit the company I had worked with for so many years. Asking God many times about this situation I heard from God my days were numbered at Con-Way and in 2014 I lost my job there.
Fortunately R&L Carriers were looking for someone at the time with my abilities and experience. One month later I was hired as a driver which I am still doing at this date.
