Sterling was b 1813 in Edgefield SC. and was in Miss in 1835 age 22 purchasing land in the Raymond area, same as Michael. He received 606 acres the plantation home several horses cows hogs Oxen and wagons and 12 slaves all belonging to Michael. There is no will to be found. He used both Kindren and Orange the sons of Edward McCarty to help him sell the property . sold and went to Tampa Florida 1842 with his wife Mary A. Moved to Hernando County 1849 lived there married Elizabeth Stafford 1853. where were the children??
