Biography

Elizabeth was born in Haycock, Pennsylvania on 30 October 1735 to Silas McCarty and Sarah Carrell.^[1]

Elizabeth was married twice.

She first married, Thomas Melvin (1736-1807). ^[2]

Her second marriage was to John Melvin in 1760 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They had one child during their marriage.^[3]

She died in 1804 in Alexandria, Virginia, at the age of 69.^[4]

Elizabeth was buried in Jefferson, West Virginia, United States on 9 October 1804.^[5]
