She was born on 05 April 1881 in Lincoln County, West Virginia, USA and was the daughter of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Payne (Fry) and Charlie McClare or McCleary.
Nettie Lea Payne McClare or McCleary first married about 1897 in Harts, Lincoln County, West Virginia, USA to Smith Ferrell (1874–1914) and they had 8 children.
Nettie married secondly to Robert Edward Shuff (1870s-1950s) and they had one son together.
She passed away on 28 April 1971 at Big Creek, Logan County, West Virginia, USA [1] and was buried at Duty Cemetery in Lincoln County, West Virginia, USA. [2] [3]

My great grandma. She was married to my Papaw Hallie Ferrell's dad Smith. After Smith died she married Robert Shuff. I never knew him, but got see my grandma quiet a few times. Such a sweet lady.
