Andrew was the son of Joseph McClellan and Margaret Sanderson
Place and date of birth is given on his birth registration and on the birth Announcement found in the Orangeville Sun Newspaper.

As described on his death certificate, Andrew McClellan died of a severe cold, which caused hydrocephaloid disease.
A condition in infants who suffer from diarrhea or other debilitating disease, with dehydration and general symptoms resembling those of hydrocephalus, without, however, any abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid.
