Biography

William was born in 1887 .He was the son of William John McClelland and Elizabeth Baile. His father was the headmaster of the local school in Ballymann. ^[1]

He was married to Naomi Aileen Purcell O'Neill and worked as a Civil Engineer in Kenya. ^[2] In January of 1916, he was appointed the Personal Assistant to the Director of Public Works, and six months later, he was appointed as Assistant Engineer. ^[3] He and his wife traveled back and forth to Great Britain on several occasions.

He passed away in 1942, in Nakuru near Nairobi. ^[4]
