Biography
James, son of William McClelland, was born in Cumberland, Maryland and died in Linn County MO. Came to Missouri age 14 and settled near Plattsburg. Married Margaret Lantz of Browning 12 Oct 1871. Made their home in this vicinity except for two years in Kansas. Leaves wife, children, Mrs C.A. Bundridge, Mrs A.A. Healy, Browning MO, and E.W. McClelland, Gilman City MO; sisters, Mrs Francis Moore, Gower MO and Mrs Johm Gilman of Boulder CO. Eleven brothers and sisters have preceded him.
