Joseph McClure Jr. was born 14 May 1775 in Worchester County, Massachusetts. Joseph McClure was a son of Joseph McClure McClure-6215 who was a Revolutionary War soldier [1]
Joseph, Jr. was a Veteran in the War of 1812, as a Captain @ Dobbin's, NY Militia. Capt in 1807, Major in 1815, Colonel in 1816 & later became a General in the NY MILITIA. He rescued a bugler named: Burns after he had deserted the British Army, by swimming across the Niagara River to the American side. He passed away in 1833. [2]
