Hi! I'm a WikiTree Mentor, like Sandy, and stopped by to see how you were doing on your "anniversary" (you volunteered to join a month ago - so glad you did!).

If you haven't found it yet, WikiTree has a DNA project you might be interested in. To check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop-down menu, and then click the link to the DNA project. In addition to information that may be of interest to you, the project page has a list of members you can contact if you would like additional details.

Sandy & I are available if you need anything!

Cheers, Liz

Hi, Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you will run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Sandy ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hello Ash

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Welcome Ash,

Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person.

Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so don’t forget to read and sign our Honor Code. This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community.

Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Our help pages, also top right, have all sorts of useful information.

Happy Hunting,

Jess

I'm newer to family research but not to research in general. After the past few years working on my own family, I'm ready to branch out and collaborate. I think if we all worked on what we are best at then shared the results, we'd be amazed how far our Trees could go.
