Louisa Hester McClure was born around 1859 to Mary J. (Chapman) McClure and Nelson McClure. Mary and Nelson were paternal first cousins, with nelson being 28 and Mary 18 at the time of their marriage, which was noted as the first for both of them.
nelson and Mary appeared to have separated shortly after Louisa's birth as Nelson moved to West Virginia and remarried there, while Mary stayed with Louisa in Kentucky and moved back into her parents home for some time (as evidenced by the 1860 census). In 1864. Mary then remarried George Chapman Wooten, also a distant relative. Louisa joined them in their new household and remained with them after they had additional children.
Louisa married Felix Pigg, a farmer, in Lawrence, Kentucky April 25th, 1878 and they had many children together.
The 1930 census shows Felix and Louisa living together in Lawrence in their 70's shortly before Louisa died in October.
Louisa died in October 1930 of mitrial insufficiency/heart valve problems a few months before her 71st birthday.
Felix lived for several more years before dying around 1937.
