Jean was born in 1752 and in 1769 married William Waugh. She passed away in 1770 following the birth of their only child, Alexander McClure Waugh. She is buried in the Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Cemetery in Gettysburgh, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
