I was born in Roanoke, Va. and except for a short period before WW2 lived there until 1945. We moved to Front Royal, Va. and I lived there until 1957. I moved to the Washington, DC area and remained there until 2006. At that time Ruth and I decamped to Seaford, DE where we remain. A small town with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly neighbors and friends.

Hi, James! Thanks for helping merge the two Alexanders. If you see folks that are already here, instead of creating and merging you can just link your new profile to an existing profile by entering the existing profile's WikiTree ID as the parent, child, or spouse of your family member. Glad you're here!
Hi James! I just saw your message over on the other profile. I would suggest writing to [email address removed] and tell them you want to merge this account with your old one. I'm sure they'd be happy to help! :) Welcome back to WikiTree!
The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.
WikiTree is different from other genealogy websites because our goal is to create one big family tree with ONE PROFILE PER PERSON. This means we all work together on our shared ancestors.
When you confirm your email address, youll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests. It can be a name, like SMITH, or a place, like AUSTRALIA. Be sure to click the "Enter Tag(s) and Volunteer" button when you finish!
After you volunteer, one of us will be by to confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family!
After a long time away I have returned and can see no way to retrieve my old ID of McClure-878. So I can not figure out a way to retrieve my own listing. Any suggestions?
Also Karen Thanks for reminding me of this project.
James, I know you've seen some errors in the early McClure family here. Would you be willing to link your profile to your father James McClure and add your DNA test info? I think it would help find cousins for your DNA studies.
Thank you, James, for volunteering to help grow our worldwide family tree.
