Biography

Mary was the fifth of seven children born to Patrick and Joanna Lineman McCormick, though three older brothers died in before she was born. Her father died when she was about three years old, and her mother remarried, to John Bisch, about a year later, merging the McCormick and Bisch families in her stepfather's home in Wellesley Township.[1][2]

Mary is identified as a laborer on the 1901 Census, perhaps working in her stepfather's mill.[3]

Mary was not living with her mother and stepfather in 1911.

Mary died at age 72 and is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Macton, Ontario.[4]
