Margaret was the sixth of seven children in the family of Patrick and Johanna Linehan McCormick, presumably born on the family farm in Peel Township. Three boys older than her all died before she was born. Margaret's father died when she was two years old, and her mother remarried within a year after her first husband's death. By the time of the 1881 Census, Margaret was living with her mother, step-father John Bisch, and their merged family of six children in the town of Wellesley, where John was a mill proprietor.[1] Margaret grew up in Wellesley.[2]
She married Levi Henry when she was 22 years old.[3] They were living in Wellesley in 1901, and Levi was a laborer.[4] Their first child, a daughter Minyon Maria, was born later that year.[5] A son Joseph Cyril was born in Waterloo in 1907.[6]
Levi and Margaret were living in Downie Township, Perth County, Ontario, in 1911, where Levi (then going by Frederick, was a mill foreman.[7] They continued living in Perth County for the next decade.[8]
In 1926, Margaret and Fred and their three children emigrated to Detroit, Michigan.[9] Their daughter Minyon, had completed a nursing course and was hired by the Jefferson Clinic in Detroit.[10] They were still in Detroit in 1940.[11][12]
Margaret died at age 82 and is buried with her husband and children in Mount Olivet Cemetery, in Detroit.[13]
