Biography

Joe was the eighth of nine children in the John and Hanora Loughlin McCormick family.[1] He was working as a tinsmith when he was 19.[2] In 1921, he was living with his father, brother and sister on the family farm in Wellesley Township, Waterloo County.[3] He married Colletta Starr when he was about 32 years old[4]

He was an assessor in Wellesley township for many years and was employed at the Naugatuck Chemical plant in Elmira, Ontario.

He was a member of St. Theresa's Church in Elmira and a member of the Sacred Heart League and Holy Name Society there. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.[5]

He died at age 62 and is buried in St. Theresa Roman Catholic Cemetery, in Elmira.[6]
