Biography

Hugh McCormick was born on 16 July 1899 at 31 Artillery Street in Belfast, Ireland. His parents were Henry McCormick and Sarah Cushenan.[1]

In 1901 he was living with his parents and 4 siblings at their home in Portlee Cargin, Antrim, Ireland. [2]

In 1911 he was 11 years old and a scholar. He was living with his parents and siblings at their uncle John Cushinans home on Pinkerton Street in Belfast, Ireland. [3]

Hugh immigrated to the United States and settled in The Bronx, New York. [4] He became a naturalized citizen in 1931. [5]

In 1940 he was living with his wife Helen and two children at their home on Mayflower Avenue in The Bronx, New York City, New York, United States. He was 39 years old and employed as a coal handler. [6]

Hugh McCormick died in July 1979 in The Bronx, New York at the age of 80 years. [7]
