Note N4058Charleston Gazette 31 Jan 1998 SUMERCO - Boyce C. McCormick, 58, of Sumerco died Jan. 29, 1998, from injuries received in a four-wheeler accident on Laurel Fork, near his home. He was a pipefitter, a member of Pipefitters Union Local 521, Huntington, and Moose Lodge, Nitro, and a Marine Corps veteran. Surviving: wife, Beverly McCormick; daughters, Shanna Bevel of Homosassa, Fla., Teresa Alford of Sod, Lisa Holbrook of Alum Creek, Tonya Adkins of Tornado; son, Jeff of Sod; brother, J.R. of Charleston; sisters, Fannie Mae Dickens of Sumerco, Bertie Lou Pauley and Patricia Huffman, both of Charleston, Dorothy Lee Ash of Nitro, Dovie Shaffer of Virginia Beach, Va.; 11 grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Midkiff Cemetery, Sumerco. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
