Biography

Mary was the second child born to John and Hanora Laughlin McCormick. An older sister died before she was born. She was likely born and grew up on the farm her father was farming with his brother James.[1][2]

By 1901 when she was 24, she had moved with her family to nearby Wellesley township in Waterloo County.[3] In 1911, she may be the Mary McCormick living in a convent in Berlin.[4] She was working as a teacher outside ('separate") the convent.

A family member has identified her death date in 1931.[5]
