Biography

Samuel McCormick Jr. was born around 1772, likely around Horton, Kings, or Granville Township, Annapolis, Nova Scotia. He was the son of Samuel McCormick and Mary Blair (profile to be created).

Samuel married Elizabeth "Bettee" Leonard, the widow of John Witt (aka De Witt) on April 7th, 1802, in Granville Township, Annapolis. ^[1]

They had the following children:

Ambrose, born 23rd May 1815

The same transcription records that the cattle ear-marks were transferred to George McCormick in 1871 (month and day hard to read)

Samuel passed away in 1856 at the age of 84 in Granville Middle District. He was buried on May 18, 1856 by J.M. Campbell.
