Isabella Best McCorquodale was born on 10 February 1862 in Lancashire, England, United Kingdom, daughter of George McCorquodale (1817–1895) and Louisa Kate Honan (~1824–1870).

Isabella (23) married Joseph Hume Dudgeon (30) (born on 4 January 1855 in Dublin, Ireland; son of Henry James Dudgeon and Maitland (Reid) Dudgeon) in 1886 in Warrington, Lancashire, England.[1] [2] Their children were:

  1. Mary Kate Dudgeon (19 July 1887 – 25 February 1946)
  2. Eileen Dudgeon (~1890 – unknown)
  3. Joseph Hume Dudgeon (19 March 1893 – unknown)

In 1901, Isabella Best (39) was in the household of Mary Kate Dudgeon in Dundrum, County Dublin, Ireland. [3]

In 1911, Isabella Best (49) was in the household of Joseph Hume Dudgeon. [4]

Isabella died on 5 January 1941 in Dublin, Ireland, aged 78 of cerebral thrombosis. She was said to be a widow of a stockbroker at the time of death. Isabella's death was reported by her daughter-in-law.[5][6]. She was buried in St Nahi's Churchyard, Dundrum, County Dublin.[7]

Isabella's estate passed probate on 6 January 1942 in Llandudno, Caernarfonshire, Wales.[8]
