When Elizabeth Carothers McCullough was born on November 28, 1828, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, her father, James McCullough, was 21, and her mother, Elizabeth Eliza Moore, was 19. She married Rev. Robert Fleming Wilson on September 24, 1856. They had five children during their marriage. She died on January 17, 1915, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, having lived a long life of 86 years, and was buried in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania.
