Alexander McDaniel's birth date and location are unknown. According to researcher David Hampton he was the son of another Alexander McDaniel, mother unknown. He married Catherine Rogers, a Cherokee, in 1823. [1] They emigrated to Indian Territory as "Old Settlers" in 1829. [2] Alexander and Catherine were the parents of Lucy, David, Ellis, Robert, Catherine, Sarah, and Lewis. Catherine died in 1844 and Alexander died in 1845. [3]
