Biography

Mabel was born in 1902 in Missouri. Steve said they met because Mabel lived on a neighboring farm.

They lived many years near Noble, Oklahoma on a farm. In about 1949-1951 they pulled up stakes and moved to Lamont, California.

See Steve Cox's profile for a picture of the family, including Mable and most of the children

Mabel passed away in 1956. Although the children are not sure what caused her death, it is suspected by this writer it may have been due to complications of diabetes.

At the time of her death only two of the children remained at home. Viola lived at the family home and cared for her father. Larry Cox died in the Vietnam War in 1966-1967.
