Catherine McElaney's parents were John McElaney and Bridge McLaughlin (McElihney) McElaney; it was the 2nd marriage for both: her father had two sons by his first wife, Hugh & John and her mother had 2 daughters (one named Susan who married a Grant) and a son named Bernard who married a Readdy. She passed away about 1871. [1]
Her name was mis-spelled as McLanar on her marriage certificate.
She is buried at St Francis de Sales church, Charlestown.
