Maria Alice McEvoy was born 14 January 1875 in Blackville, New Brunswick, Canada. She was baptized 2 months later on 21 March 1875 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Renous.[1] Maria is the oldest child of parents William McEvoy and Martha Jane Gillespie.
Maria McEvoy married William Gillespie on 25 January 1900 in Renous, New Brunswick, Canada. William's parents are John Albert Gillespie and Mary Ann Underhill.[2] He was born 20 August 1876 in New Brunswick, Canada and died 3 January 1960 in Grainfield, New Brunswick, Canada. He is buried at St. Bridget's Cemetery in Renous, New Brunswick.[3]
