Elizabeth was born in 1929, the daughter of John McEvoy (1884–1950) and Mary Convery (1884–). ^[1]

On 30 June 1956 she married Lawrence Patrick Downey. ^[2][3][4]

On 9 Nov 1965, she became a U.S. citizen. ^[5]

She died on 20 Mar 1997. ^[1] At the time of her death, she was living in Contra Costa, California. ^[6]
