Biography

According to "the McFarland Family in early Ky and Since" by RM McFarland Jr. "David and Matilda Wall were married January 19, 1856. David was the second son of James McFarland and Elizabeth (Betsy) Wall. His older sister, Elizabeth (McFarland)Claybrook was born Sept 15, 1825. His older brother, Banister Wall McFarland was born March 6, 1827.

Allie (Wright) Osborne wrote in 1941 in the "Waltrip Family History"that they lived and reared a family on the old Waltrip farm, but moved to Curdsville where they spent their last days and died. They had eight children. 1. Franklin K. McFarland 2. Mary Elizabeth (McFarland) Puryear 3. Laura Mae (McFarland) Moseley 4. Lucy (McFarland) Rodman 5. Charles Hampton McFarland 6. Lena Rivers McFarland 7. Blanche (McFarland) McCain 8. James H. McFarland
