GUILFORD RESIDENT DEAD
Mrs. Jeanette McFarland Died at Her Home in Guilford at Age of 72. Will Be Buried Tomorrow.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette McFarland, who died at her home in Guilford yesterday morning at 7:20 o'clock, will be held from the home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Reed cemetery.
Mrs. McFarland was born in Argyleshire Scotland, July 29, 1838. When she was 20 years old she came with her parents to America, settling in Guilford, which has been her home since. She united with the Presbyterian church and was active in its work.
Her husband died thirty-one years ago. A week ago she was stricken with paralysis, and her decline since has been rapid. She is survived by six children, Andrew McFarland, Nettie McFarland, Walter McFarland, Mrs. Maggie Lyford, John McFarland and Miss Annie McFarland.[5]
