Eliza Ann McFerin or McFerrin married John Claver Beck 12 Oct 1852 in Hendricks county, Indiana. [1]
John and Eliza had nine children from 1854 to 1874. Eight children living in 1900. [2]
She may be the Eliza McFerren of Marion, Hendricks, Indiana in 1850 census. At age 13 she is residing with Samuel M Pelcher (53) and Rebecca Pelcher (50).[3]
The Pelcher's name was likely Pilcher. Samuel Pilcher married Rebecca Ayers in 1842. Marriage license[1]. Elizabeth's relationship to Pelcher/Pilcher is unknown.
The Pelcher/Pilchers were living in Hendricks county in 1860 but Elizabeth had removed. Because of marriage to Beck?
In the 1850 census Eliza was 13 so her 13th birthday was likely 1 Jul 1849 to 30 Jun 1850, i.e., she was born in either last-half 1836 or first-half 1837. The date of birth was most likely 1836 or 1837.
Eliza is a widow residing with family of son William in 1910.[4]
