Calloway McGee was born in 1847 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, United States, son of John Henry McGee (~1804–1860) and Sarah Ann Tracey (~1805–1896).
Cub married Rosanna C 'Kate' Catherine Kerr (born about 1857 in North Carolina, United States). Their children were:
