Ida Louise McGee was born on February 17, 1881 in Lower Brighton, N.B., daughter of William F. McGee (1847–1925) and Susan Melissa Robinson (1850–1936).

Her siblings were:

• William Leroy McGee (1873– )
• Judson Elisha McGee (1877–1961)

Louise died in 1963 in New Brunswick, Canada, aged 81. She was buried in Lower Brighton Cemetery, Lower Brighton, Carleton County, New Brunswick.^{[1] [2]}
