Obituary Saguache Crescent September 9, 1954

MCGEHEE RITES HELD SAT., 28th IN SALIDA

Funeral services for Henry George MsGehee, (sic) who died Aug. 27 were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, August 28th in the Chapl (sic) of the Vision of the Stewart Mortuary. The Rev. Eugene Worth of the Methodist church in Salida officiated. Several organ recordings were played during the service.

Pallbearers, who were members of the Salida Volunteer Fire Department, included Bud Cook, Bob Henderson, Bob Frayser, Dick Graf, Charles Culp and Clarence Rout. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.

He had been a resident of Salida since 1913 when he and his family moved from Saguache, where he was born Dec. 25, 1886. Due to poor health, he had been retired for a number of years. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Three of his four children, Mrs. Ray Hockett and Mrs. Floyd Cooper, of Salida and Lyle R. McGehee of Pueblo attended the services. His son, Emmett of Grand Junction, was unable to be here for the funeral.

Mr. McGeHee was a cousin of Miss Edith Jones of Saguache.
