She and her family may have immigrated from Ireland around 1718 settling at least temporarily in Pennsylvania. Later moving to the current day Charlotte, North Carolina area. She is buried in Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, United States.
