Maud McGinnis was born in Sennet, Illinois and was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson & Margaret "Maggie" Corson McGinnis.
She worked as a housewife and school teacher.
She is buried beside her husband Elmer Leverett Stocking and on the stone is "Mother". They are buried in Osborne Township Cemetery in Mayfield, Osborn Township, Sumner County, Kansas.
