Biography

Mary McGrew was born on (Quaker old style) the 5th day of the 11 month, 1748 (new style - Jan. 5, 1749) to James McGrew and Mary Dicks.[1] The maiden name of his mother was Mary Dicks (Dix) as proved on his parent's marriage record recorded on Mar. 25, 1735 at the Holy Trinity (Old Swedes) Church, Wilmington, Delaware.[2]
