I would personally like to find out more about my grandfather's life before kids. His name was Nicholas McGuire from Kennesaw GA. I know he enlisted in the army, owned acres of land, etc. but what I found fascinating was that he was the fairest African American of the family--passed for white, and didn't look like any of his siblings. I was curious to find out if there had been a rape or a romance with a white owner in or near Marietta County back in the early 1900s that resulted in his birth around 1908. His parents were John and Julia Brewster-McGuire. I have names of all the black relatives.

Thanks for joining us, Nicholl. I love the little story about the Morrows - you might like to share it in our G2G forum to see if anyone else has any more information about them.

In the process of seeking information for a friend on the Morrow family. One of the most interesting facts I have found was that the family was very involved in music. George Morrow was a jazz bassist. His mother, Cora, was a pianist. They lived in Pasadena CA. The grandchildren have followed in their parent and grandmother's footsteps.

With the numerous amount of information on the Internet to help research family history, I thought this one might be interesting to join. It appears that the site is very easy to use and the people who work here seem to care. So now I am here, ready to get started to put some of what I learned about researching family history. To everyone's success!
